Digital full colour printing
All mailing databases contain enough information about the target audience to enable identification of differing profiles and needs. SEMA's SecurityMail business empowers you to take advantage of this information and create totally different content for different target audiences.
SecurityMail can assist you to create campaigns that draw on the knowledge and data held for each customer and create dynamic customised full-colour pieces including variable images, layout, text and data to generate highly individualised one-to-one messages for customers.
We are an industry leader in digital colour with the printing equipment, software and human resources to ensure that we can exceed your expectations.
Apart from our document designers and business analysts, SEMA also has a colour subject matter expert located in each branch.
Results
Campaigns using full-colour variable print produce higher response rates when compared to traditional black only laser printed campaigns. SecurityMail has partnered with numerous customers to test full-colour digital printing against black laser printing within the same campaign to quantify costs, response rate and revenue lifts, with significantly successful results.
SecurityMail is already providing this type of solution to key clients in the direct mail arena. Customers or prospects requesting information are able, on provision of an email address, to have that personalised and compliant information delivered within 5 minutes of the request being made. This is significant competitive edge to dramatically improve customer experience.
Insertion
SEMA's SecurityMail is thoroughly experienced in handling both consistent and variable size mail production. If the size of the output to be sent to customers is variable in nature, SecurityMail could initially put all mail packs to a handline process. Once we have had time to review this printed output, we will re-assess whether we pre-process these and send some for intelligent insertion and the large mail packs to handline for processing. Any savings from the re-engineering of this process will be passed on to the client.
Lodgement with Australia Post
Having already undertaken a thorough pre-processing of the address data and appended DPID information, SecurityMail is able to pre-sort mail items into post-code level trays. This level of pre-sorting will ensure the client receives the highest level of discount from Australia Post.
Australia Post out-stations
Having pre-sorted the mail items into postcode batches, SecurityMail will lodge the mail with Australia Post on a daily basis. Australia Post has remote collections sites at SecurityMail’s Sydney and Melbourne premises. In Brisbane, Australia Post is 100 metres from the production facility.
Electronic lodgement software
SecurityMail uses an electronic lodgement system known as MILEVA, to lodge all mail electronically with Australia Post. Each lodgement is identified by a unique reference number, which is automatically generated by the system. These reference numbers enable SecurityMail to track all outgoing mailing articles once they leave the premises.
SecurityMail also stores all lodgement dockets, manifests and sort reports electronically via MILEVA. This system uses the Australia Post e-LMS engine to transport all compliant lodgement documentation and information to Australia Post.
Online content management
SEMA's SecurityMail can provide an on-line repository of each letter and pack type (down to the individual customer level), enabling users to search (via pack type, stock code, customer name and address etc.) and view these documents on-line. This Content Management Solution enables users to electronically manage each document (i.e. electronically annotate changes to content, perform text searches, make global changes, distribute new text versions internally for approval etc...), as well as provide additional reporting by business area.
Warehousing
Warehousing and stock management are critical support components of SEMA's SecurityMail service. SecurityMail utilises a combination of IT systems and workflow processes to manage inventory for all clients.
These services have enabled us to manage and deliver a large number of fulfilment, ad hoc direct mailing, essential and mandatory mailings, ranging in size from a few hundred articles up to six million articles in a single mail out.
SecurityMail’s warehouse and stock management solution is governed by a series of national processes and standards published within SecurityMail’s Business Management System intranet. The national approach combined with the use of communication tools such as the intranet, enable SecurityMail to continually improve and learn from the practices and experience in each site.
SecurityMail’s warehousing capabilities are broken into the following three categories:
1. Security storage
Security Storage is a secure storage area within SecurityMail. Features of Security Storage include:
- Restricted access – In addition to the standard security access controls that are in place throughout SecurityMail, the Security Storage area is restricted to a select (approx 5) number of trusted/accountable individuals
- Sign in/Sign out – All entries, exits, removal of stock, entry of stock are logged and reported on
- 24x7 Surveillance – Security cameras run 24x7 with recorded surveillance.
- Safes – Safes are available as an extra level of security for very high value stock
This level of security obviously comes at a premium and is generally only leveraged by customers for high risk products such as promotional products, or currency items (Cab Charge).
2. General storage
Stock is generally organised based on its expected warehouse time with short-term or high-turnover items being at the forefront. The majority of SecurityMail customers leverage General Storage. This includes, but is not limited, to customers from the following industries:
- Government / Educational / Local Councils
- Financial Institutes
- Telecommunications
- Publishing
3. Fulfilment storage
Fulfilment Storage is a shared area where SecurityMail manages the allocation of space and location of space according to its job queue, stock characteristics, processing method and volume of stock. It is primarily leveraged by customers with high-volume, high frequency, automated jobs.
