SEMA acknowleged for exceptional serviceSEMA Group has been presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Australian Tax Office for exceptional service. SEMA partnered with the Tax Office to co-ordinate and deliver some 9.4 million mail packs for the Tax Bonus scheme that was rolled-out in 2009. Mr David Shean, Director of Print and Mail Management at the Tax Office, said: "Your support and commitment to the Tax Bonus initiative is recognised and appreciated. The Tax Office received the silver award for Excellence in Public Sector Management for the rapid co-ordination and swift delivery of the tax bonus payments. "The smooth delivery of the Tax Bonus would not have been possible without the support and active assistance of SEMA," Mr Shean said. The Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Mr Brent McCulloch, SEMA's Chief Operating Officer, in order to share the recognition received from Mr Wayne Swan, Treasurer, and to formally acknowledge the work and effort contributed by SEMA staff. Mr Swan commented about the Service Award presented to the Tax Office, saying: "It was your good work; it was your hard work in very difficult conditions that made sure that tens of thousands of Australians stayed in work. "It was the efficiency with which you did the job, without complaint, with speed, in the circumstances where many have said it couldn't be done. But it was done, and it was done with your co-operation," Mr Swan said. The mail packs were processed and delivered across three of SEMA's sites over a period of four weeks and subsequent mailings were processed from SEMA's Brisbane site until February 2010. |
