SEMA has been proud to support the Surf Life Saving "UP THE TOWER" event. Over $1500 raised for a very worthwhile cause.
Leading Direct Marketing and IT Business Solutions group SEMA Group have taken part in the Surf Life Saving Foundation (SLSF) fundraising event, UP THE TOWER.
"The SLSF and SEMA have a long standing professional relationship," remarked Mr Lee Bourke of SEMA, who continued to say, "When we can help them and other worthy causes, we jump straight in."
UP THE TOWER is a simple yet vital fundraising event for Surf Life Saving whereby participants are sent on 'patrol' up life saving towers in the Queen Street Mall and asked to seek donations in order to get back down.
David Kerr, Commercial Manager - Analytics, volunteered to go UP THE TOWER for this worthy cause. “I’ve always had a great deal of admiration for the volunteer Surf Life Savers that keep our beaches a safe place for everyone to be. The opportunity to help them out was one I couldn’t resist and will jump at again.” said Mr Kerr.
SEMA believes that even in the most challenging of economic times, there is a responsibility to provide support to not-for-profit organisations. Mr Lee Bourke remarked that "We (SEMA) greatly value our not-for-profit clients. Helping them to achieve their goals – and giving back to our community – is very important to us."
"Everyone has been great." said Mr Kerr. “We have nearly $1500 in pledges. The SEMA Group, our staff and partners- Alterian, Leximancer, Vision 6 and Premiere Global Services - have been very supportive."
